The minimalist Afteroom series
Afteroom is Hung-Ming Chen and Chen-Yen Wei. The two designers run the Swedish design studio that creates products for manufacturer Audo, guided by the motto "less is more".
The Afteroom collection includes chairs, coat hooks and a side table, among other pieces. The designers always focus on functional design – for example on the Afteroom bench, which has a small side table attached to it. Yet they never use more material than necessary, as Afteroom furniture is defined by minimalist, simple shapes made from thin, strikingly shaped steel.
The designers aim to create a timeless design that makes a big impact through minimalism and functionality.
