Origins and philosophy
Danese Milano is one of the most influential names in Italian design. The company was founded in Milan in 1957 by Bruno Danese and Jacqueline Vodoz, with the aim of bringing art, craft and industry together in a long-term project.
From one-off to series production
The decisive impetus came from meeting Bruno Munari and Enzo Mari. A small workshop making one-off pieces grew into industrial production, with objects intended for more than just an exclusive circle.
A timeless design language
The result is design that is simple and clear, yet distinctive. Bruno Munari's Falkland pendant light is now regarded as a classic of design history, and the brand continues this approach today with designs by Ernesto Gismondi and Naoto Fukasawa.
