A
kettle shaped like a curling stone
Bulbul AC100 by Alessi is an innovative kettle whose design was inspired by the round shape of a curling stone. When you slide the kettle back and forth on the stove or on the kitchen countertop, it feels as if you’re playfully moving a curling stone. In Bulbul , Achille Castiglioni’s extraordinary ability to translate the characteristics and functions of objects from completely different fields into a new project becomes evident. A play on transpositions that has often given rise to the famous ironic dimension found in many of his works. The 2.5-liter kettle, made of highly polished stainless steel, features a polyamide whistle and a steel magnetic base. The kettle is also suitable for induction cooktops.
