The AIM lighting collection by Flos comprises innovative pendant light designs by French design duo Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec, in which aesthetics and functionality form a harmonious whole.
The Bouroullec brothers' AIM lights question at least two principles of lighting design. The first is that the light source should be placed centrally, at the point where the diagonals of a room intersect. The AIM pendant light breaks with this tradition and allows a completely free lighting composition. With the extra-long cable, the Bouroullecs question the second principle: a mainly functional element of lighting design becomes, with AIM, a central design element with an aesthetic role.
Thanks to the extra-long cables, you can position AIM lights flexibly anywhere in the room. Combining several lights creates a veritable forest of light. The lights are a continuation of the light installation "Lianes", first shown at Galerie kreo in Paris in France in 2010. AIM is an industrial development of this installation that has lost none of its original creative character.
